Advice on anonymous hiv & std test
 

Hi, I last had protected sex & BBBJ with a Geylang cat 150 prostitute on 31 Aug 19.
I would like to go for anonymous hiv & std test this week.

Will the test result be 100% accurate ?
When is a good duration after exposure to go for such test so that the test result will be 100% accurate?

If the std test is not anonymous, in the event the std test result is positive, this means ministry of health, insurance companies etc will get informed of the test result?

For HIV, i would assume MOH and relevant department (CDC/NPHU) will be informed... this will help them prevent those irresponsible HIV positive people from spreading it like in this case..

For STD i doubt so plus maybe its also the type of STD, because if you were testing for herpes then everyone will be in the list, so they type also plays a part, better to call DSC and ask about this as they would have a clearer answer

I think you are relatively safe. You should only test once every 3-6months or if you have symptoms of STDs. If you are planning to engage in sexual services in geylang, fl or etc, just use protection and most of the time you will be fine.
