You don't have to tell him and the MC won't state what operation you underwent. If you really feel you have to give him some details, just say you've had to go for a minor but essential and painful operation and that you'd rather not talk about it. He should respect your wishes. Bear in mind, if you have any male Malay colleagues, they'll know exactly what operation you had from the way you walk when you come back!
