Told myself that this couple not bad, didn’t keep pressing the doorbell. I just came out of the toilet and they had probably waited for 5 minutes patiently outside.

I opened the door and invited them in. Their heads were bowed as it was really cold outside. I think it might be snowing in the evening as the temperature must have fallen by quite a bit.
We sat down and they introduced themselves as Chen for the man and Cheng for the lady.

After she removed her coat and cap, Cheng looked hot and gorgeous but unfortunately married. I fell in love with Cheng and she is a lot more sexy than Maggie whom I felt was quite hot. I had initially pictured Cheng to be an old withered woman but she was obviously the opposite.

Chen: Hi, I believe Tom has spoken to you about us and I hope that you would do us a favour by letting us stay with you. This is my wife, Cheng and we would both be very grateful for your kind consideration.
Me: How old are you? Tell me more about your background and your personalities.

Chen: I am 48 and my wife Cheng is 35. We were from Guangxi province and we had a child who is currently looked after by Cheng’s family. We get along well with others, not calculative and are very grateful people. We are now in deep difficulties and if you could house us, we would really appreciate and be thankful towards you. If there is anything that you need our services, I will be happy to help.

Cheng: I am not working and I can keep your beautiful apartment clean and if you are agreeable to Chinese food, I can help to prepare home cooked dinner for you and we can eat together when you returned from school and Chen returned from work, but he may eat out as he is likely to return late. He has found a job with Mr Bruce company and will be starting work soon.
Me: In my home country, I frequently wore only my boxer at home and sometimes, I watched porn on TV and may use vulgar words. Although the weather is cold, I sometimes sleep naked in my room with my heater on. I would have to change a lot of my usual habits with both of you staying with me.

Ding Dong..

Me: Who is that… let me check it out.

I walked to the door and opened it. Oh.. it was Tom. I thought you would not be here.

Tom: Just pop by to see if there was anything that I could help.

Me: I just related a summary of the conversation with the Chens to Tom.

Cheng: Please don’t worry about it. I am a married woman and I have seen it all. It is ok for you to do as you are used to doing. I won’t be offended. Chen also do the same back in China.

Me: Erh.. I don’t permit man to do what I do in my apartment.

Chen: Definitely, you have my word that I will always be prim and proper.

Tom: Cheng, if you wore very little such as bikini around the house, I am sure Johnny will be very willing to say yes.
There was an awkward silence.

Me: Let’s eat and talk. I poured some wine for the Chens and Tom. We ate and said nothing substantive except talked about some causal topics on what we saw in the news, etc..

After dinner, the Chens helped to clean up the place and washed all the glasses and Cheng helped to mop the kitchen floor as she thought that I cooked the pizza and chicken nuggets.

Tom: How is the negotiation? (Both Chen and Cheng were seated at the sofa in the living room after the chores)

Me: We spoke about it but didn’t touch on rent, tenancy, etc..

Chen: I am sorry. We have been in a rut and could not afford to pay you rental, at least for the winter and I think we should be able to shift out by Summer if all turns out well.

Me: That meant that both of you would be here for at least 6 to 8 months, rent free?

Chen: Tom, you mentioned about Cheng wearing sexy clothes around the house just now to close the deal?

Tom: This is my suggestion but Johnny has the final say as he is my dad’s trusted man. He may want more than that, hahaha....

Chen: Oh.. you are boss’s trusted man. I am sorry not to know this earlier. As we would be evicted this weekend, may we move in first and then we can settle the details on how we may compensate you later? (Chen has a lot of respect for boss and the boss to him is like an Emperor)

Me: As you are also working for Bruce and both of you are quite desperate for a place, at least temporarily. Generally, I prefer to have the place to myself but I shall do both of you a favour. I am ok for you to move in for 2 weeks. You will have to leave when I tell you to do so at the end of the 2 weeks.

Tom: You better convince him in this 2 weeks that it is worthwhile for him to keep both of you here or you could get some money and shift out to somewhere else.

Chen: Thank you. Thank you very much. We will shift in tomorrow.

Me: OK, both of you can have the smaller room. The heater is not working quite well.

Tom: Better than sleeping in the streets. {Tom winked at me}

Chen: Yes, yes... thank you.
