When i was in balai, i took their public transport, a Covered pickup, and go cheap sightseeing, i go until the end of the journey then return. I did the same thing in batam, bangkok, zhuhai, macau, johore bahru, etc. Sometime half way, i drop and recce the place. If im lost i will take a cab back to my hotel.
