Batam Delta and Jakarta Delta is not ran on the same style,even tho its under the same management. A review i find credible enough speaks for itself.

If you insist on stepping in to try,by all means do so (man's meat and poison theory applies), but do standby about S$100 (or more,depending on how much blood were able to reach your brain when you are physically there) in your wallet for your one HJ happy ending.

Erm... I'm surprised you don't know about BCS. ANYWAY, it's a mall like Nagoya Hill Mall. The bowling center is located on the 4th level, together with an arcade centre and billiard centre. I'm there on Sunday night, so it's weekend rate. It's at 25,000 per game, shoe rental at 3,000. There are in total 8-10 lanes, so it's not a very big place. But, what you should find in a bowling center, they have it. However, BCS mall is located in the Penuin area which is like the Chinatown area of Batam. You can find a lot of Chinese here, but there's nearly no mongering outlets here. 99.5% of massage centres here are clean ones (or supposed to be clean ones).

Hmm...I wonder if there is a hotline like the above for tourist only (especially for people like me who don't understand Bahasa Indo or Malay). I mean since most who got extorted a lot were at most time tourist and its a no brainer that most tourists who visit a country do bring along a 'certain' sum of money where they have no where to hide.

I like the game, so bcs is gonna be a favorite haunt for me. Especially the theatre there shoe more films than Nagoya Hill.

As our knowledge in the transport system in Batam increase, we are less likely to be held ransom by taxi drivers here. Unless you're travelling in the wee hours at night.

Just checked out of my room and approached the ojet / taxi gathering place outside Formosa Hotel. Nowadays, they already don't get to earn my money except for the odd trips to bcs or hbb (usually for movies at night). My girl rides a bike, so my transport nowadays is limited to about 20k for her bike fuel.

I approached the driver outside Formosa and quoted them 50k from Formosa to Batam Centre, they wanted 70k cos they claimed that I already paid them 60k from bcs to Batam Centre. Well, the agreed price then was 50k. Which, together with 40k from Formosa to Batam Centre, is 90k and I just gave 100k without asking for the change. And he just assumed that I paid him 60k, which is not wrong but not right either to me.

When he asked for 70k, I just walked away. Even when they had people chasing me offering to take my price, sorry, no way. I'm like that. My attitude is... I may pay you more at the destination. But, you must agree to my price at the first offer. No negotiation. Because once negotiated, the service seller may provide the service grudgingly. And it will become a less than happy experience for me. If not, then it may well become 70k, 80k or even 90k from Formosa to batam centre. I just walked on, until I reach outside Nagoya Hill Mall and boarded a mini bus for 5k.

Ya, but that time no small change, so no choice. Now I make sure I arm myself with many 10k, 20k and 5k notes.
