Coz i went to a massage shop recently.
The girl say must see IC, then she write down my info for me, then gave me back my IC. The was polite and also got explain to me it's very serious.
Got cases where by the shop license cannot renew because kena caught customer not write real info etc.

And not just registration. Also a lot of other small small thing can easily kena unable to renew.
I believed what she told me.

Bro, if you know whether this "law" was no more, please enlighten me.
Coz i know it DOES exist at a certain time.
But i never keep track of all laws.

If the bro is talking about the new ruling against the collection of ic number, it will only come into effect 1 sept next year, not this year

Collection of IC means they hold the IC for us during the massage?
Or only show it to proof identity during sign in?

At max, only for registration/verification. Do not ever let anyone hold on to your ic.

I got no problem with presenting IC for verification during registrations.
Although so far already used to not showing anything ..

Bro,
paiseh for massage service is still required, massage establishment rule 2018 under Massage Establishments Act, though my recent venture into some of he SPA shops dont require me to give my full IC.

Registration required but usually they dun even sight.

Maybe they will just sight n tally in future.

the regulation is for customers to write down their ic for record. but a lot write fake name fake ic number, so i think the shop or the counter girl kena, but at least write for you also good service what.

Hearsay if write fake ic, shop will be hit with heavy fine if caught.
