In the first place, police not so free to check everyone's phone.

The question is, why does he spend that much effort on you? What did you do prior to him checking?

Why ah? Nowadays the police are doing more routine checks but are unconventional. That day got 6 police officers come to my neighbour house and collect his laptop also, escort him to police station. Then I asked hiim he say routine check. Maybe he bluff me lah, maybe he did something else, but still there are such increased rates of checks when last time never have one.

the police needs to check you has to apply for a warrant to search your property. so they have to apply and state their reasons first to their superior. Unless you are in the middle of a crime such as a girl accusing you of taking the photo that you should have taken. they cannot come into your house like they owned it.

Coz the police officer found out one nude photo (top part) on my phone that my friend herself send to me. And they also saw few snapshot photos. But not zaogeng or upshirt type.

I do think that you do have the right to refuse the police officers for the check. No warrant or nothing. One night I was downstairs at my block smoking in my car with engines off when a police officer approach me and request for my driving liscense. I replied "I'm not driving, i dont see the need to give you mine". He also LAN LAN to ask me for my ic instead. Police only have the right to check your Id only IMO. They can't even do a car check on you.

Police officers in Singapore are Polite Cival Servants, they don't Harass people without any reason. Ts must have done some criminal act.
Those across the causeway are totally different, always need to standby some $$ for their coffee money, else handcuff and spend a nite in lockup..
