Singapore version; People listen to the nanny government who followed the WHO, no need wear a mask unless one is not well. Most followed... it was publicly known that coronavirus carrier dont carry any visible symptons during the beginning stage. In other word, they treated themselves as "not unwell" and they no need wear a mask?

Most of its medical center/hospital were currently far from well-equipped to contain the epidemic.

I can only hope Batam has at least one hospital which are ready to handle all these. Not forgetting they are building another hospital at Pualu Galang, just for the corona virus patient.

Looking at the list of countries who got heavily infected, many countries who followed the WHO regulations got the most infections. Many countries weren't even ready for the virus.

Vietnam, Hongkong & specially Taiwan seems to have some of the least infected individual.

Experts were not always right & the results has proven itself.

Especially now though this virus is not deadly as in cos mortality rates is still lower than sars but the thing is that it stays hidden for a week to 2 before it run loose.... So yea, maybe all of us are already virus holder but just that it didn't surface yet.

Just hoping that this can blow off soon. Now in a way, we are all quarantined in Singapore.

Also hope those bros who need to travel for regional sales or stuffs won't be hit too much by this.

I think the main problem is the lack of face masks and protective equipment which are more urgently needed by the health workers at large. The general public could greatly reduce the chances of spreading the coronavirus by good hygiene practices and avoid interacting with large group of people closely. This is the next best solution besides providing all with masks and protective equipment.

The indo mindset is summed up like this : what you don’t know won’t hurt(kill) you. It is kinda like saying, ignorance is blest. If you don’t test how you know you are not infected? Even Jokowi confessed last week they withhold the real stats for fear people panic. When will they wake up, when people start dying? When rich Indonesian started showing up at our door step, that was the time our playground kanna. Good grief

Even China were using UV lights to sanitize the whole hospital . Its effective on both cost and manpower.

Alcohol wipes seems to be more popular,works better and faster, more convenient (to kill virus on touch, very effective) too. 1 piece can be use to wipe 3 batam ferry seats/3 chairs,hehehe...

My cost is about S$0.20 for those hospital grade alcohol wipes.

Exactly! Its really not being very intelligent, doing all that at the point an epidemic. Worse is they hold a conference meeting with many big heads to decide on that.

Its like when i was at Grand Batam Mall on 16th March, lobby 1 entrance was doing temperature scanning, but lobby 2 and lobby 3 isnt,hehehe...so anyone who wish to skip temperature scan from the security can just go into the mall through other lobbies.

(side note : i notice most if not all who were holding the non-contact temperature scanner in Batam do not even know how to use it properly)

Thats how Indonesia authorities do things, when they try to "boost public confidence".

One side ask people to prioritize hygiene,health etc, on the other side cut the means and ways to do so.

Pls take note to those who buy mask from apotek..If you find the box retape or open before dont buy..My friend bought two box.from them and the mask given is those thin mask for those who do facial use...And yet they are selling at 250k per box...apotek next to paragon hotel their mask cannot buy its not 3ply but they stated 3ply...Dont get con by them...
